Grants
Lowe's Home Improvement has $5,000 grants for K-12 schools, under their "Toolbox For Education" program. The grant deadline is October 15, 2015. Grants can be used for educational equipment. Click here to learn more about "Toolbox For Education."
The grant website encourages schools to BEGIN the application process right away, because once 1,500 schools register to apply, no others will be allowed to apply for this round. To begin, simple check to make sure your school is in Lowe's database and register that you will be applying.

To assist you in the grant process, I've prepared some language that you can MODIFY in order to make a custom request to Lowe's to meet your school's unique needs. Please change the langugage so it doesn't just look like a boilerplate application. The budget in this proposal is for a complete 46"-diagonal height-and-angle adjustable system (The Adapter) or the 55"-diagonal height-only adjustable system, with our built-in Windows computer with pre-loaded special needs software, two switches and wireless switch interfaces, and wireless keyboard/trackpad.

We also can provide you with lifts to make kitchen and laundry room cabinets more accessible for someone in a wheelchair. This might be of special interest to Lowe's, since this company sells building supplies. If you are interested in doing a grant application for such a project, go to the Contact Me section of the website and drop me an email, so I can help you further.
